Say Anything
Today I sent a series of G-chat messages to a friend of mine: me: Minhazzudin
me: In the course of human events
it sometimes becomes necessary to indulge in self-effacingly flippant conversation
if only to convince one’s self
that this universe has the meaning that we give it
and nothing else
neither depth, nor absence of depth
a limitless horizon of wasted hours

I don’t know if you’ve read Calvin and Hobbes
but I think it would lend a certain levity to your existence
an existence characterized by a nervous gravitas

To chat with someone that isn’t actually there is to speak into the void. It’s hard to figure out what to say, when you can say anything. Responses are easy, but to be the actuator of a conversation that does not exist — it’s difficult.
Kierkegaard knows that the hardest thing is to be the Absurd Man. The Ridiculous Man. Agamemnon will always be understood. He is Tragic, yes! But his tragedy is understandable. Others will understand him when he speaks. The Absurd man will not be understood.
